One of the biggest mistake most aspiring Internet Marketer beginners made is that they assume they could be successful without having the need to know HTML or FTP software. True enough, you don’t need to become an expert in HTML or FTP to begin with, however you do need to eventually understand the basics of HTML and FTP in order to be able to create or maintain your own web site and to upload the web pages you created to your web hosting site. Not unless you are prepared to forge out hundred of dollars to get someone to get the job done for you.

Forget about those so-called Internet Marketing Guru’s who tell you that you don’t need to learn nor understand any HTML or FTP knowledge. There are many free HTML editors which can help you jump-start your website creation, notably those with WYSWYG capability. WYSWYG stands for ‘what you see if what you get’ feature which helps you to generate webpage on the fly via powerful user graphical interface instead of coding in HTML syntax.
One of the best free WYSYG tool available is NVU. You get to download NVU from http://nvu.com. One you get familiar with NVU; do take time to view the source that is in HTML syntax to improve your understanding of HTML. You don’t need to buy any commercial FTP software, as most of the free FTP tools are good enough to get the job done. In any case, do take some time to read the directions before you use them.

It will take sometime for Internet Marketer beginners to understand HTML and FTP, the time spend is definitely well worth the effort cause it will help you in the long run to become successful in your online business.

FREE PRODUCTS AINT ACTUALLY FREE AFTER ALL!

Beware of Internet Marketers that goes around promoting freebies in their websites. Quite often the so –called ‘FREE’ products or services are actually not free in the true sense. Rather, in quite a number of instances, the free product or services is only valid for a certain period of time after of which you may be charge monthly fees thereafter.

It is such a shame that even famous and well known Internet Marketers would opt to display the word ‘FREE’ knowing very well that many new Internet Marketers aspire to be does not realize that some of these ‘FREE’ product or service is only applicable and valid for a period of time after of which subsequently they will be charge with follow up monthly fees. Instead of confusing and perhaps unintentionally tricking people into thinking that the offer is absolutely ‘FREE’, Internet marketers should in all honesty states explicitly and clearly that the ‘FREE’ offer is actually CONDITIONAL offer with subsequent fee charges if it is so.

Beware and look through the fine details, keep your eyes wide open and read the fine print carefully if any promotional offers deem ‘FREE’ requires you to pay ‘zero’ amount dollars amount via online payment such as PayPal. If the offer is truly free there is no reason why one should make any online payment even if it is ‘zero’ amount of dollars.

I have come across some FREE offers which are in actual fact CONDITIONAL time sensitive trial free offer that require you making online payment for delivery of items such as free DVD or book. Once the so-called FREEBIE trial period is over, you will be charge monthly subsequently.
In summary, be alert and don’t be too eager to sign up any online FREE offer that comes along your way. Take time to read the fine print to make sure you understand the condition if any with regards to the FREE offers.

Increasing Online Sales through Affiliate Marketing

You will find that affiliated marketing is one of the best ways for someone to market and advertise online. It will help you to make some more money, but it will also push online sales to go up as well. Rich Dad Poor Dad??

Robert T Kiyosaki’s bestseller self-improvement book ‘Rich Dad Poor Dad’ has sold by the thousands if not millions of copies. There is nothing special or new about the ideas expounded by him. It is just plain common sense that so long as you safe more money than what you spend you are own your way to building your financial safety nest. His famous concept is easily communicated through the so-called 4-quadrant chart that described the 4 groups of people.

‘E’ stands for employee, those who work for someone else.
‘S’ stands for self-employed, those who own their own job and work for themselves.
‘B” stands for business owner, a person own a business and hire others to work for him.
‘I’ stands for the investors, spending money to make money so to speak.

Robert emphasized that one must move from the ‘E’ and ‘S’ to the ‘B’ and ultimately to the ‘I’ group in order to achieve financial freedom and financial independence.
He goes on to brat about how he managed to buy properties without having to pay a single cent for it and in turn quickly selling it to make a huge profit.

I bet that as much as we agree with his concepts, the fact though is that not everyone is cut out to become entrepreneur and certainly not everyone willing to take risk to venture into own business. Most people start out as ‘E’ and then move to ‘S’ and only very few move into ‘B’ or ‘I’ so to speak. Robert offers very little suggestions nor advice in his book Rich Dad Poor Dad as to how one could move from ‘E’ or ‘S’ to the ‘B’ or the ‘I’.
More so in this time of economic uncertainty and with the global recession I wonder if anyone cares about the ‘B’ or the ‘I’ anymore. Most people would be contented if they could keep their job during the recession.

Instead of the 4 quadrant, the below concept that I developed is much more realistic and I suppose we are more connected to it. Forget about the ‘E’, ‘S’ ‘B’ or the ‘I’.
Instead, think of your life as one of the following:

Time & Money Factor

1) Lots of money, lots of time
2) Lots of money, no time.
3) No money, lots of time
4) No money, no time.

Which of the above do you belong to? Very few people belongs to the 1st category, perhaps if you are born with a silver spoon, a member of the royal family or child of a big shot, you can kiss category 1 goodbye. Whatever the case, you are in deep trouble if you belong to the 4th category namely no money and no time. You can certainly improve the quality of your life if you fall under category 3. As for category 2 well it’s up to you to figure up what you should do.

Resell Rights versus Private Label Rights

Newcomers to Internet Marketing occasionally gets confused and mix up with some of the marketing techniques and terms. In particular quite a number of new Internet Marketers are confuse between Resell Rights (RR) and Private Label Rights (PLR).
What is the difference between Resell Rights and Private Label Rights?

First thing first, RR and PLR are NOT the same. It is important to know the difference because otherwise you might get into serious trouble by infringing of the copyright laws.

What is Resell Rights (RR)?
Allow you to resell the products as it is without editing or change. Thus you cannot re-brand the product and call it your own product. Resell Rights comes in 2 categories namely Master Resell Rights and normal Resell Rights. With Master Resell Rights, you can give away the product along with the resell rights of that product to others. Normal resell rights only allows you to resell the products to others, thus you are not allow to change nor giveaway or sell the resell rights to others.

What is Private Label Rights (PLR)?
Private Label Rights comes in two different categories, 1) Private Label Rights and 2) Unrestricted Private Label Rights

Unrestricted Private Label Rights allows you to do anything with the products you acquire from another party. You can rename, re-edit, re-brand it, and sell it as if it were your own product. You can also bundle the products with other products in a package. You can also give away the products or you can also sell the products along with the rights to resell the products to others.

Private Label Rights are similar to Unrestricted Private Label Rights, whereby you can edit and re-brand the product as your own. There may be some restrictions and limitations with regards to the minimum selling price for the product and as well as limitations in terms of freely giving away the product.

Summary:
Which type of products you wish to sell depends on individual preferences. On a personal note I would prefer to deal with Private Label Rights as it offers more flexibility in terms of re-branding and to create my own products without having to reinvent the whole wheel so to speak.
